Jetopolis is built from real airports, real aircraft and real history. This page names the people and projects whose work you see in the game and on this site, and the license each piece comes under.
3D aircraft
Every 3D aircraft you follow in flight is our own model. We build each one in Blender from published dimensions, most Airbus, Boeing and Douglas airliners straight from the manufacturers' airport planning documents. No downloaded models, no borrowed textures. Variants of one family fly the same model.

Airport photos
Airport cards show real aerial photographs, most of them from Wikimedia Commons. We crop and color grade each photo for the game, and the card names its author and license right under it. Archive photos show the airport as it looked decades ago.
96 photos of 89 airports, 18 of them from the archive
Satellite images
Where no free aerial photo exists, the card shows the airport from orbit: a Copernicus Sentinel-2 image of the European Space Agency, turned to a three-quarter view, most of them processed with AI.

World event photos
Breaking news in the game, from the Suez crisis to the pandemic, arrives with an archive photograph from Wikimedia Commons, cropped to fit the news card.
